Bundesnetzagentur publishes detailed roadmap for AI regulatory sandboxes and medical device requirements
Germany’s federal network regulator on September 30 published a 56 page roadmap that distils learnings from a national pilot of AI regulatory sandboxes and sets out practical guidance on how high risk AI rules apply to AI-based medical devices. The document clarifies standards, timelines and the new national oversight role as Germany implements the EU AI Act.
